MUKUTMANIPUR

Mukutmanipur is a village in Bankura district of West Bengal, India. It is located at the confluence of the Kangsabati and Kumari rivers close to the Jharkhand border.

Mukutmanipur is a town located near the West Bengal–Bihar border and is famous for the Mukutmanipur Dam which is the largest earth water reservoir in India having been built in the mid 50s to serve water for irrigation to farmers. It is spread over 8000 sq km.

Day 1
Kolkata - Mukutmanipur
Day 01: Kolkata – Mukutmanipur (350 kms / 7 to 8 hrs approx) Early morning transfer to Mukutmanipur via Susunia Hill at Bankura. It is known for its holy spring and famous for rich flora, fauna and medicinal plants. After visiting the Susunia drive to Mukutmanipur, a natural place surrounded by the confluence of River Kangsabati & Kumari. On arrival check into hotel & rest of the day evening for leisure. Overnight stay at Mukutmanipur.
Day 2
Mukutmanipur
Day 02: Mukutmanipur After breakfast visit the Dam area of Mukutmanipur which was built on the confluence of River Kumari & Kangsabati. You can enjoy a boat ride (on direct payment basis) to visit on the huge water body of the dam area. Visit deer park and Shiva Pareshnath Temple and Ambika Temple or walk around the dam area. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3
Depart to Kolkata Airport
Day 03: Mukutmanipur – Kolkata Railway station / Airport (310 kms / 5-6 hrs) In the morning after breakfast drive back to Kolkata with sweet memories to transfer to airport or railway station. Note: It is advisable to arrive Kolkata one day earlier or reach by early morning flight/train latest by 08 AM to start your tour and book your departure train/flight during evening only after 6 PM.
